Who We Are

This site is operated by Wohnen LLC, owner of North Star Penthouse (122 W. Main Street #126, Aspen, CO 81611). We respect your privacy and only collect the information needed to take and deliver your booking.

What We Collect

• Name, email address, and phone number
• Stay dates, number of guests, and any messages you send us
• Payment information — handled directly by Stripe; we receive a transaction reference and the last 4 digits of your card, never the full card number
• Basic technical data (IP address, browser type) for security and abuse prevention

How We Use It

• To take and confirm your booking and charge the deposit and balance
• To send transactional emails (booking confirmation, balance reminder, check-in info)
• To respond to your inquiries
• To comply with City of Aspen STR record-keeping and Colorado tax obligations

Who We Share It With

We share the minimum necessary data with the following partners:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Email service provider — to deliver transactional emails
• MC Property Services (property manager) — your name, dates, and contact info so they can coordinate check-in, respond to issues, and act as the 24/7 local contact required by the City of Aspen STR ordinance
• Licensed third-party cleaning vendor — turnover schedule only (no personal contact info shared unless necessary)
• Government authorities — only as required by law (e.g., tax remittance, STR compliance audits)

Cookies & Analytics

This site uses essential cookies needed for the booking flow to function. We do not run advertising trackers.

Email Communications

We send only transactional emails related to your booking — we don't send marketing campaigns. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribes are honored via our suppression list.

Data Retention

Booking and payment records are retained as long as needed to comply with Colorado tax, City of Aspen STR, and accounting requirements (typically at least 3 years). Inquiries with no resulting booking are deleted within 12 months.

Your Rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing us at the address below. We'll respond within 30 days. Some data may be retained where required by law (e.g., tax records).

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
